Schedule: Hours will consist of 4-5 hours per day, M-F, with flexibility based on candidate preference. For example, 10am-3pm, 11am-4pm, or similar. 

Compensation: $23-25+/h

A kind family in Fairport is seeking an experienced, warm, and reliable nanny to care for their one-year-old child. Their ideal provider will be knowledgeable about infant and toddler care, as well as familiar with developmental milestones. The weekly schedule will consist of 4-5 hours per day, Monday through Friday, with flexibility in scheduling (e.g., 10am-3pm or 11am-4pm, depending on the candidate’s preference). One parent works from home in a dedicated office, so the nanny will have the opportunity to support the child in a calm and structured environment while maintaining a comfortable balance of independence. While parents are generally available for any urgent needs, they look forward to working with a provider who is confident caring for their child independently throughout the day, so that the parents may be fully engaged in their work. 

Daily responsibilities will include engaging the child in age-appropriate play and learning activities, and ensuring their well-being throughout the day. Light child-related tidying, laundry, and meal prep, with an emphasis on preparing healthy, whole foods will be asked and appreciated. The family values a gentle, respectful approach to caregiving and is open to a variety of parenting philosophies. A candidate who is able to share their knowledge with these first time parents as their little one grows and develops will be a bonus!

Once the family has an established relationship with their provider, they would love their nanny to take their child on outdoor adventures, such as for weather-permitting walks, visits to local parks, libraries, and other age-appropriate activities. A candidate who is a strong swimmer and confident in supervising children in and around water will be required, as this family has a pool at their home. The family is cautious about COVID-19 and seasonal illnesses, and they greatly appreciate a nanny who is mindful of health and safety protocols, including staying up-to-date on vaccinations. Finally, these parents are looking for someone who is willing to make a multi-year commitment, as they intend to grow their family in the future!

Requirements:

2+ years of professional childcare experience

CPR/First aid certified

Up-to-date on COVID, Flu and Tdap

Safe and reliable vehicle
