Schedule:
On-call (paid) for length of contract, 3-5 total days of work anticipated between the hours of 8am-9pm.

Compensation:
$20-30/hr based on experience.

Benefits:
Family will pay a retainer of 8h per day ( 7 days per week ) for the entirety of the contract length. It is anticipated that the candidate will work 3-5 days total during the contract, depending on when the baby is born. The family would prefer a candidate who is able to spend a few hours with their 2-year-old on 2-3 occasions prior to the contract dates to get acquainted.

A friendly and growing family in Pittsford, NY is looking for some additional support in caring for their 2-year-old during the upcoming birth of the family’s fourth child! This family has two, older teenage children who will not require care. As the due-date is variable, the family will pay a daily retainer of 8 hours per day, 7 days per week to guarantee the providers availability during the entirety of the contract dates, in addition to all actual hours worked. It is anticipated that the candidate will work 3-5 days total from 8am-9pm, depending on how long the family is in the hospital with their newborn. During the contract dates, a family friend may be in town to visit and lend an extra hand, and care hours may overlap with their visit. The family describes their 2-year-old as a sweet and typical toddler, who takes a bit of time to warm up to new faces! A provider who is experienced in the toddler years and can engage their child in age-appropriate, screen-free activities such as outdoor play and neighborhood walks, reading, etc. will be an excellent match. Comfortability around animals will be required, as the family has 2 medium sized dogs who will be cared for by the family’s teenager. Ability to commit to the entirety of the contract dates is a must, as the family will depend on their provider’s support and availability when the time comes! 

Requirements:

2+ years of professional experience

3 professional references

Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle

CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to become certified)

Ability to commit to the entirety of the contract dates
