Compensation:
$26-28+/h based on experience.

A warm and professional family in Victor is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Housekeeper/Household Manager to join their family team. Please note, this position is temporary with the possibility of becoming permanent, as the family’s regular provider is currently attending to family abroad. If the family’s regular provider does return, the family will give a minimum 1-month notice to their provider ahead of contract termination. This role involves meticulous housekeeping duties with exceptional attention to detail, stocking of groceries and household necessities, household organization, organizing schedules, and providing nurturing support to the families two affectionate children aged 9 and 11. This family values a provider with a warm and nurturing disposition, who is looking to make a genuine and caring connection with the children and family. While core hours will fall M-F from 12pm-7pm, ,this position requires flexibility for occasional overnight stays when the parents are traveling, particularly during the fall months and some weekends. Travel and overnight dates will be provided well in advance. This position will begin at 25-30 hours per week, with the possibility to become full-time if desired by all parties. 

Responsibilities:

  • Perform meticulous housekeeping duties including laundry, dishes, and maintaining cleanliness to the highest standards

  • Close attention to specific preferences for laundry folding and dish cleaning

  • Organize and maintain household spaces with an eye for aesthetics and excellent organizational skills

  • School and activity pickups/drop offs as needed

  • Engage children in household responsibilities and activities, fostering a communicative and nurturing environment

  • Provide companionship and affection to the children, demonstrating warmth and empathy

  • Assist with meal preparation for the children and manage grocery shopping.

  • Coordinate dry cleaning and other errands as needed

  • Manage household expenses using provided credit card

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in housekeeping and household management, with a keen eye for detail

  • Ability to perform tasks such as starching, ironing, and steaming clothes

  • Genuine enjoyment of working with children and involving them in daily household routines

  • COVID vaccinated

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to engage effectively with children

  • Ability to work independently and take pride in maintaining a well-run household

  • Organized and proactive approach to managing household tasks
