(OPEN) Developmentally-Minded, Engaging Nanny Needed for Sweet Newborn in Skaneateles, NY!

Schedule: M-F 9AM-5PM
Compensation: $20-25/h based on experience

A busy and loving family in Skaneateles, NY, is looking for an experienced, long-term nanny to care for their 4-month-old! One parent works remotely full-time, and is looking for a caregiver who can independently manage their little one’s daily routine with minimal direction. The nanny will be responsible for daily childcare, including bottle feeding, preparing meals, and light household tidying. This family values fresh air and outdoor fun in all weather/seasons —whether it’s taking walks, playing in the backyard, going to a playground, or visiting the local library. 

This family appreciates a hands-on, developmental approach, encouraging activities like reading, music, movement, and outdoor adventures to stimulate their child’s growth. This family values a screen-free environment, and appreciates an engaging nanny who can come prepared with age-appropriate, hands-on activities in mind that will foster the baby’s growth and development over time. The ideal candidate would practice structured, but loving caregiving. While not a requirement for the role, experience or familiarity with the Montessori method would be a bonus. 

This family does have three poodles of varying sizes, and two cats. Someone who loves animals is a must. A kind, proactive, and engaging nanny who enjoys working alongside new parents will thrive in this role!

Requirements:

2+ years of professional childcare experience

CPR/First aid certified

Safe and reliable vehicle

Newborn/infant experience

COVID + Flu vaccine required

Willingness to make a long-term commitment to the family

Extensive infant and multiples experience
