Schedule: T-F 8am-5pm

Compensation: $24-29+/h

A warm family in Brighton, NY is looking for a proactive and engaging Family Assistant to support them in caring for their home and two sweet children! Both parents are home often, and enjoy spending time with the children when they are able. One parent is currently undergoing treatment for a health issue, and would like to spend time with the children on days that they are feeling well. A candidate with a strong sense of step-in, step-out intuition, and who can be proactive in assisting with household tasks when the parents are with the children will be much appreciated! The family’s 5-year-old attends morning pre-k during the week, while the 3-year-old attends on T/Th mornings. These loving parents describe their children as sweet, silly, and imaginative, and would love to work with a provider who is kind, gentle, and experienced in fostering the growth and development of little ones. A candidate who is comfortable doing drop-offs and pickups when needed, and who is skilled at managing their time with household tasks while the children are in school will be a great fit. This family is screen-free and values a caregiver who can engage the children in fun and creative activities, reading, and outdoor time. Family Assistant responsibilities include light household tidying, family laundry, tidying of the kitchen and dishes, as well as meal planning and prep. Someone who takes initiative and can fill a need proactively will be very successful in this role. A caregiver with a gentle and compassionate approach to discipline, while holding firm to boundaries when needed will be a wonderful complement to the family’s parenting philosophies. They are hoping to find a candidate to begin as soon as possible, and who is looking to become a part of their family long-term!

Requirements:

2+ years of professional childcare experience

CPR/First aid certified

Safe and reliable vehicle

Willingness to make a long-term commitment to the family
